How did you find Twirly Girls?
I was on the Studio Veena website and “met” two wonderful fellow polers (Lori & Yolanda) who both invited me to Open Pole at TG and I’ve been there ever since.
How long have you been a Twirly Girl?
I believe my first time at TG was December 31, 2011, and now you can’t get rid of me 🙂
Did you pole dance before becoming a TG?
Yes, I danced for about two and a half years at two other studios before TG, and even though TG is a further drive for me, it’s well worth it!
Which class(es) do you take? Who is your instructor?
I take the Mixed T’s class on Saturdays with none other than the amazing and inspirational Bel Jeremiah. Once my schedule clears up, really want to take SLAPD with Shelly. Her performances touch my soul. I’d also love to be able to take silks. I went once and loved it! (Note from Lori: Jade is clearly being modest here…she recently started teaching and offers a class on Saturday afternoons! Check out the website for more details: www.twirlygirlspolefitness.com.)
Which move were you most excited to nail?
Uh, pretty much every single move I’ve learned at TG. I have advanced more with my tricks in the short time I’ve been there then the previous 2 years of poling.
Have you taken any workshops? Which was your favorite?
I have taken Lori’s Burlesque workshop and Diana’s Spinning Pole workshop. LOVE them both! So much fun! I’ve taken an Alethea workshop and also Rodney James. As long as I learn something and have fun, I love them all!
Do you like to dance in heels or barefoot?
Hmmmm…I guess that depends on what I’m dancing to which is usually dictated by my mood. Bare feet for lyrical songs, but nothing says sexy like a pair of neon pink 6″ stilettos!
What is your favorite song to dance to (at this moment)?
This is a hard question to answer. There’s so many… Sign on the Door by Edwin McCain, Blossom by Candlebox, What’s Going On by NitGrit. Working on a lyrical piece for a fundraiser that I was just asked to do…Gabriel by Lamb. Love that song!
What is your guilty pleasure?
Haha! Anything I can wear on the pole!
