How did you find Twirly Girls? My pole mom in Milwaukee, Maureen Metzger, recommended Bel to me when I moved out to California for work. Both Maureen and Bel run a friendly, family kind of studio, and I immediately felt right at home.
How long have you been a Twirly Girl?
I have been a Twirly Girl since December 2014, and I’ve been attending a class every week since I started.
Did you pole dance before TG? Before joining Twirly Girls, I took regular classes at Blush Pole Fitness in Milwaukee starting July 2013.
Which classes do you take? I prefer tricks to dancing, so I was taking Inverted World with Seanmichael and now I’m taking Pat-Tricks with Patrick to build up to more strength tricks. I enjoyed a few sample classes with AJ and Grace!
Who is your instructor, instructors? Currently I am taking classes with Patrick’s Wednesday nights “Pa-Tricks Class.”
Which moves were you most excited to nail? I finally nailed Split-Grip Ayesha last year, after working on it for almost 10 months. Now I show it off all the time 😉
Have you taken any Workshops? I have not yet taken any workshops at Twirly Girls.
Do you like to dance in heels or barefoot? I have only danced barefoot, but my friend who got me hooked to pole wants to go shoe shopping with me!
What is your favorite song to dance to at the moment? When I am practicing at home, I play a dance remix of Super Mario Kart: http://benbriggs.net/album/mario-kart-bonus-beach
I aspire to be able to do all the fun strength tricks that I see, so I can show them off on random public sign posts!
If you wanted to say something about Twirly Girls, what would it be? My favorite part about Twirly Girls is how friendly everyone is here. I’ve made so many friends here, which is amazing since I had just moved out here and had to try hard to make new friends
